BAOBAB PROJECT
In Africa, in Ghana, in the desert, life is portrayed in so many
ways or forms.one of these is the Baobab. This great tree gives
shade and nitrition, provides house and a lot of courage. Under
the shadow of the Baobab, with firmness and detirmination one can
live. For this we chose Baobab as an adequate symbol for the Amicus
Onlus Project.
THE PROJECT
The Baobab project consists of the construction of the Education
Village (click to see image 143 kb) comprising of:
- professional school: to give people the highest level of professional,
technical and
entrepreneurial preparation.
- alphabets centre: to prepare street children for formal school
and to give them a welcom
home.
- university to train people: to equip them with skills to be
dedicated to local development
- research centre for studies into the prevention and cure of
infectiousb diseases
Local people would aid in the in the realisation of this project.
In this way a person may provide the appropriate experience and
competence as an example and stimulus for other people. The communal
experience most people offer (free and voluntarily) is a typical
example of this
