- Two successful missions to Ghana were organized by Amicus Onlus from 4th -27th August, 2003.

- Thursday, 25th September 2003 at 21:00. Conference titled, ' THE SUSTAINANCE OF A PLACE ENROUTE TO DEVELOPMENT'

- Sunday,19th October 2003 between 7:30-19:30: WORLD MISSIONAR DAY


 

14 volunteers (11 medical students and three medical doctor) had an intense two week programme in the Central Region of Ghana, collated data for a research on malnutrition and the activities of the Central Region Hospital.

8 volunteers (educational experts) assisted in the completion of the academy building. All were done in collaboration with the local staff.

It should be noted that the 22 voluteers had a lot of different experinces and positive results in both the medical and educational camps.

It is possible to read the testimony of the voluteers who participated in the two missions. More can be read in the next publication of the associations giornal ' Dreams and Needs' in December.

Gabriele Fontana, who was in Ghana this summer as the coordinator of the Amicus Mission, has his testimony.




Sunday, 19th October 2003 - 7:30- 19:30,
WORLD Missionaries Day was hosted at the Parish of Saint Joseph of Busto Arsizio, viale Stelvio 9.
In attendance were a number of Associations that operate voluntarily. During the manifestation, it was possible to know the experiences of volunteers, their activities, and the Amicus Onlus Project. A display of Ghanaian artifacts were made and a stand was set up for information about the Amicus Onlus. In the spirit of that day, a mass was celebrated with Father Caesar Atuire at 11:00 am.
