ASSOCIATION
DEVELOPMENT PROJECT, THOUGHT BY GHANAIANS, REALISED
BY GHANAIANS FOR GHANAIANS
Amicus Onlus is an association of international cooperation
for the development of African Countries. The international level provides
the humanitarian and educational assistance for developmental purposes.
It is non-political, non-sectarian, and non-denominational.
It is recognized in Italy as ONLUS and NGO in Ghana. It has a seat in
Italy as well as Ghana.
The Amicus was born in 2002 at Busto Arsizio, thanks
to the cooperation between Father Caeser Atuire (a Ghanaian resident
in Italy) and other Italian volunteers (promoting the project of poverty
alleviation). The projects and collaborators philosophy is not to provide
aid but sustaunable development using both local and international resources.
We are privilege to introduce a development project known as ' integrated'
in a country with deep structural wants and takes care of all aspects
of people's lives such as: education, health, and economy.
However, it is important to understand the role of
'Amicus Onlus' and it's project and the key concept: The Baobab Project
born in Ghana. It was thought by Ghanaians for Ghanaians, sustained
and financed by interested parties around the world and coordinated
in Italy by Amicus Onlus.
